Megan is a Lamb :)

Today we launched Megan into a new year at the ECC.  She has lost her Bunny ears and tail and has a new "wooly coat" as a Lamb.  The Lamb class is probably the most fun of all of the ECC classes, so Megan is in store for a great year!

Here she is ready to head to school...do you recognize the pose?

Okay, so I normally don't buy shirts like the one she is wearing...but I couldn't resist it for Megan...she truly is Awesome in our book :)

Posing with Daddy and Mommy again for Megan's 1st Day...

Then, once we arrived at the ECC...Megan was greeted by Mrs. Lungari, who showed her where all of her personalized bins, hooks, carpet tag, etc were in the classroom -- Megan was thrilled to finally be a Lamb!

Good Luck, Megan on your 1st day as a Lamb!!  We Love You and are Very Proud of you!!

Our Big 1st Grader

Well...we officially have a Grade Schooler in our house...Alexia started 1st Grade today and it was a great first day.  The morning "getting up and ready" routine went very well and everyone was excited for the start of the school year.

Here is Alexia being a little silly as we headed out to wait for the bus!

And, of course, here are the girls posing together before Alexia headed off to school.  Megan not only got up to see Alexia off...she wanted to wear a dress for the occasion :)

Here they are posing with Daddy...

And, of course there had to be a "silly face" picture...this one CRACKS ME UP!!!

And now back to a more "smile nice" pose with Mommy...I just love these girls so much :)

Okay, a couple more pics of the girls and to the bus stop we go...

At the bus stop, we took a quick family pic...

Alexia hooked up with Ryan...

And, she was officially headed to school.  She could not wait to get on the bus to sit with her BFF, Alayna, who started Kindergarten today!!  How exciting for them that they get to ride the bus together!

Megan and I had a good day together, but were both very anxious to see the bus come around the corner to bring Alexia home.

She was grinning ear to ear when she saw us, too.

And, after I stole a quick hug from her...she immediately gave Megan some lov'in, too!!

I feel so blessed by how close these two girls are...sure, they have their moments like all sisters and siblings do...but they really do love each other so much!  It makes their mama's heart melt!!

No homework for Alexia tonight, but I'm guessing it will start tomorrow night!  Alexia's not so excited about THAT part of 1st Grade.

Tomorrow will be Megan's 1st Day in the Lamb Class at the ECC...hopefully she'll have as great of a 1st day as Alexia did today...STAY TUNED!!

Getting Ready for School

We had a super busy day today!
It began by attending the "Moving Up" Ceremony at the ECC.
The girls wanted to get all dressed up for the day, so here are my little darlings, posing in their dresses just before going into the ECC.

For Alexia, this was a bittersweet day as it was her last official day/program at the ECC.
Mrs. Gardner acknowledged her and the other "Dinosaurs" who will be leaving the ECC program and heading to 1st Grade.

After the ceremony, Alexia went around to all the teachers giving hugs and saying "Thank You" to them (I must say that this was emotional for me...especially because I didn't even prompt her to do so)...she just really wanted them to know how much she appreciated them!  Way to go, Alexia.

And, of course, she had to take a moment to pose with her ECC BFF, Hope, and a few of the other girls with whom she'll be heading to 1st Grade.

Megan also officially graduated from the "Bunny" Class...and will be moving up to Lamb Class with Mrs. C and Mrs. Lungari.  She is thrilled about this move to a new class and I'm confident she will flourish there.

After the ceremony at the ECC...we grabbed a quick lunch at McDonalds with Ms. Krystal and Lorelei...before heading to Shepherdstown Elementary for Alexia's classroom visitation.

Alexia was somewhat nervous about going to her new school, but she was able to see her classroom, meet her teacher, Mrs. Tamosaitis....and, of course, make some new friends!

When Alexia first went into the classroom, she was told by Mrs. Tamosaitis to go and find the pencil box with her name on it and that she could take it to whatever desk she wanted...she then was given the task of decorating her name tag for her desk.

After taking care of that task, her focus turned 100% to making friends with the girl who will be sitting next to her, Payton.

Alexia has a few other girls in the class whom she knows from Kindergarten and one boy who was actually in her Kindergarten class with Mrs. Deiter.

Here she is with her new teacher...Mrs. Tamosaitis...who seems really great!!  Scott and I attended the Back to School Night this evening and was able to hear a lot about what she will be doing in the classroom~It should be a terrific year!

As I was tucking Alexia into bed tonight...she said to me..."You know what Mommy...I was wrong about 1st grade.  I'm not nervous about it anymore.  It's going to be awesome!"

Yep...that's my girl!!

End of Summer Fun

We sure have been busy the last few weeks of sumer...enjoying all kinds of fun things together!

A Picnic at Messiah along the Yellow Breeches...

A few fire pits w/ Ginormous Smores...
Daddy bought the Jumbo Marshmallows...what a mess!!

 Playing with Bubbles...

Several playdates with friends...this was a swimming party at Tessa's house...

And even some sisterly snuggling while watching a video together...

We also had an amazing day at Dutch Wonderland last week with the Magel Family.
Alexia and Leeann have been friends for over 3 years since they met at the ECC.  Whenever they are together, people automatically think they are sisters.
Megan and Kaitlyn hung out together all day and had a great time, too :)
Here are a few favorite pics from the day!
