Our day started out with participating in a local 5K and 1-mile Fun Run at Memorial Park. Scott, of course, was the one who ran the 5K, while Alexia and I ran the Fun Run.

Daddy took Alexia shopping on Thursday night for a running outfit and new sneakers...don't you just love the sweat band???
Several families from our small group showed up to run as well...here are the girls who ran together...Alexia, Alayna and Maddie. They were awesome!!
And here are the siblings of the runners...we'll call them the "cheering section."

And, just so that I can prove that I actually did run a mile...here we are approaching the finish line :)
I think our official finish time was somewhere around 15 minutes...which wasn't too bad given the muddy/slippery running conditions. I was just thankful that nobody wiped out...which I was pretty sure might happen.
After the run, Scott dropped me off at home to get a few things done and then took the kids back to the park for an Easter Egg Hunt and then to McDonalds for lunch. Sorry, Daddy was in charge...so, no pics!
Tonight we had a surprise 70th Birthday Party for Grandpa...Aunt Andrea & Uncle Chuck hosted the big celebration and, as always, everyone had a good time...especially all the cousins who LOVE being together :)

The kids became a little wrestless and decided to head outside for a bit...
Of course, they had to get a "funny face" pose in there...
Then they played several rounds of tag, follow the leader, and even some gymnastics in the wet grass...Good Times!!
Meanwhile, Megan made her way back inside to play with Joshy and this is where I found them...
After all this play time, the kids were ready for some cake...so we sang Happy Birthday to the Birthday Boy :) Happy Birthday, Grandpa! May this be your best year yet :)
